Global Dynamics and Implications of an HBV Model with Proliferating Infected Hepatocytes

چکیده

Chronic hepatitis B (HBV) infection is a major cause of human suffering, and number mathematical models have examined the within-host dynamics disease. Most previous assumed that infected hepatocytes do not proliferate; however, effect HBV on hepatocyte proliferation controversial, with conflicting data showing both induction inhibition proliferation. With family ordinary differential equation (ODE) models, we explored dynamical impact among HBV-infected hepatocytes. Here, show in this class generates threshold divides into two categories. Sufficiently compromised cells produces complex characterized by oscillating viral loads, whereas higher straightforward always results chronic infection, sometimes liver failure. A global stability result failure state was included as it unique to models. Finally, model analysis motivated testable biological hypothesis: Healthy are present if only severely impaired.

Fibrogenesis: Mechanisms, Dynamics and Clinical Implications

Fibrosis is the pathological condition resulting in the growth of excess fibrous connective tissue in an organ or body system as a reparative or reactive process. In the field of clinical pathology, clinicians and medical scientists are endeavoring to translate experimental knowledge into effective, innovative treatments for a range of fibrotic conditions. The amelioration of whole organ functi...
